Brave Browser Comments Testing Advertising Program
Brave Software has begun evaluating its browser advertising
initiatives. When the browser is fully launched, its users must choose whether
they want to block ads or view them and earn the browser's inbuilt Virtual
Currency Basic Attention Token (BAT). Cryptocurrency is an Ethereum-based utility token, which according to Besiktiontokan.org can also facilitate
transactions between advertisers and publishers.
How browser works
Brave Browser is a product of Brave Software; A company
started in 2015 by Brendan Eich and Brian Body. The two founders have extensive
knowledge and experience in developing browsers. Prior to this, Eich worked
with Mozilla as architect and CTO. On the other hand, Bondi Khan was a software
developer lead at the academy.
The company claims that the Brave browser comes with
enhanced privacy features and higher browsing speed. Brave Software says that
the inbuilt adblocker of the browser reduces bandwidth expenses, allowing it to
double the speed of other browsers on personal computers and up to eight times
the speed of other browsers on mobile phones. The browser works based on the
novel idea of blocking advertisements and trackers tracking your movements on
the Internet. The browser is downloaded as it eliminates the need to download
and install ad blockers. The app uses a new way of advertising that relies on
device-based tracking and intermediates that connect advertisers and users.
The Brave Ads Testing Program will show how online advertisements can be
Efficiently exposed. Brave Browser validates and distributes
advertisements eliminating the need for such devices to perform these
advertisements. The browser has been praised by many users, especially because
of its speed. Most users have stated that the browser is faster than Chrome and
Firefox.
Brave Browser to Share 70 Percent of Revenue with
Participants
The firm's advertising program will allow users to view
multiple "relevant ads" in a day. Browser users will be rewarded with
bat tokens for viewing ads. The company will then share the benefit of 70 with
users who agree to watch the ads.
However, this program is not ideal for those who try to get
the full privacy benefits associated with the browser. This is because the
browser will collect users' browsing history for analysis. There are fears that
the move will discourage many from participating in this important trial.
In April this year, Brave Software announced a partnership
agreement with the Dow Jones Media Group. Under the agreement, some of the
browser downloaders use Dow Jones' premium content. Dow Jones Media Group
Senior Vice President, Daniel Bernard described the partnership as an exciting
and innovative move. He said the partnership would allow the media company to
try new and emerging technologies in an effort to enhance the customer
experience.
Wow! Excellent Post.
